Advantages of the microphone:
Cheap Bluetooth with occasionally reasonable performance
Disadvantages of the microphone:
Weirdness while recording this test; the cord between the earbuds is clumsy

The on-screen gauge looked really spectacular for the first half of this test, and then degraded to register almost no sound at all. Maybe some sort of automatic noise cancelling logic set in? Or just random Chinese quality variations. Will try another test
