Advantages of the microphone:
It sounds fine for a headset mic and has decent echo and noise suppression.

Disadvantages of the microphone:
I can't think of any disadvantages about the mic itself but the headset is another story. I have been using the headset for about a year and the leather on the earpads started peeling off a few months ago, which wouldn't be much of a problem if I could find replacements but after looking online for a bit I couldn't find any for it.

This headset has a decent mic and is capable of 3D surround sound and has a "battle mode" sound setting that apparently helps you hear footsteps (I haven't used that feature too much because I rarely play anything that would require that)
