Advantages of the microphone:
Directional, analog 3.5mm, no need for USB, furry wind filter (removable), can be mounted on top of a camera, or mounted on a mini tripod for table use. Small aluminum body, strong for frequent travel use. Not complicated, less things to cause failure. Looks cute. Quite sensitive, more than my headset mic. Recording produced is accurate to real sound.
Disadvantages of the microphone:
I don't think it is water proof but because there r no buttons or complexities it can handle rain for sure, more than your camera would. Its purely an analog mic with 3.5mm hole for 3.5mm cable connectivity, USB lovers may not like it but i do.

The price is fair, it's absolutely worth the money, look online for a platform/seller that is selling it with a discount. Also buy a mini tripod to use it at home on a desk, when out mount it to your camera. The mount is compatible with the top of camera slot type n also it has a screw hole underneath for standard screw on top of tripods. This mic will always b that compact reliable thing u will look for when the complicated "high tech" ones fail.
