Advantages of the microphone:
Relatively inexpensive for a stand alone mic. Easy setup, good sound mostly.
Disadvantages of the microphone:
Requires the mic to be relatively close (says optimal distance to speaker is 6 inches or less. So if you don't have a boom, or limited desk space it may be inconvenient.
