Advantages of the microphone:
So far it seems to be a very huge step up considering only having integrated mics either on phone or laptop. Just from the tests themselves, i'm finding the sound to be more rich and very clear compared to the latter. So far so good. I have many more applications to test this on.
Disadvantages of the microphone:
Other than being wired, so far so good! It's too early to tell what the other disadvantages might be.
