Mic Test

Review #25497 about “Maono PM471”

Microphone: Maono PM471
Rating: Good (4 out of 5)
Date:

Advantages of the microphone:
Compact, plug and play, sturdy build, inexpensive, good pick up, directional quality avoids all but the loudest of background sounds.

Disadvantages of the microphone:
It sits low enough on the desk that, unless you have the most silent of keyboards, it will occasionally pick up the key clicks and clacks. seems to work better with voices in a higher tonal range.

Author’s comment:
For the price of this setup and ease of use, I could not ask for better. It will not replace a professional studio setup but is a great close second for anyone starting up in streaming or casting. With its compact size and no need for an additional power supply other than its USB connector, this is my new grab and go mic for travel work.
