Advantages of the microphone:
Voice is clear. Good range. No echo. Good voice activation; can't hear keyboard or other background noises; completely dead when not speaking.
Disadvantages of the microphone:
A persistent high pitched background ring sounds when the mic is at high input, like I'm talking out of a tin can. Completely missing base tones.
