Advantages of the microphone:
Great quality mic, especially as a built in component in a webcam. Wonderful sound quality and sensitivity. Useful features such as noise suppression. Overall very pleased with this mic which saves me the trouble of purchasing an additional one.
Disadvantages of the microphone:
At times can be too sensitive as I have kids and even when they aren't in the room, they can be loud enough to be picked up in the background.

Very helpful website that let me check the status of my microphone which had been packed away for years. Also let me test the functionality of this component in my new computer.
