Review #31935 about “MXL 990”
Author: Kevin Gibson
Microphone: MXL 990
Rating: Good (4 out of 5)
Date:
Advantages of the microphone:
Relatively cheap introductory microphone (~$75-$100). I consider it very comparable to the AT2020 at a slightly lower price.
Disadvantages of the microphone:
Mine was very quiet out of the box (Gain knob on my interface is at about 60-70% and boosted 5db in DAW). Sound quality could be cleaner.
