Mic Test

Review #32662 about “1MORE H1707”

Microphone: 1MORE H1707
Rating: Good (4 out of 5)
Date:

Advantages of the microphone:
H1707 Triple Driver Headphones were an incredible value for their MSRP, and their in-line mic has very respectable voice reproduction for one so small, leaving the headset very light and comfortable for long sessions, indoor or outdoor.

Disadvantages of the microphone:
In terms of audio quality, it does not quite compete with a ModMic or the Beyerdynamic MMX 300 integrated mic, and without an audio interface with sufficient input amplification, it can come across as quiet. Also, alas, the headset is discontinued.

Author’s comment:
Note that the Pixel 8 has almost nothing to with the perceived audio quality of this setup, because its audio connection to the TC35M2, a self-contained USB-C DAC/AMP, is entirely digital, and should work with any device that supports USB HID audio.
