Advantages of the microphone:
The microphone is very good for a headset priced at $210.The microphone is reasonably clean sounding without altering my voice much, it almost sounds like me in real life. The microphone can be adjusted with ease and can be detached making it great for those competitive gamers who also listen to music or bring their headset in public. It would also be a great microphone for those who don't have the money or space to set up a real microphone.
Disadvantages of the microphone:
The microphone is has a bit too much base and wireless mode on the headset can make it sound a bit clouded. The microphone sometimes can fall out of the headset if not plugged in fully and could get worse as you wear out the USB port on the microphone.

According to corsair, this is an omnidirectional microphone is 9.5 mm with an impedance of 2.2k ohms with a frequency response of 100hz to 10khz and a sensitivity of about -42db
