Advantages of the microphone:
It is integrated with the web cam and would be nice to have them both together, but the playback from the mic input is very muted.
Disadvantages of the microphone:
The microphone playback sounds muted, although the camera seems to have a decent picture. I have a Bose SoundLink Mini, which has good sound quality, so the muted audio is apparently coming from the mic on the camera. Bummer.

Your site is great. It is very easy to use. I appreciate having a place to test my web cam/mic--which is a used device. At least I know they work, even though the mic pickup seems muted.
