Advantages of the microphone:
It's an entire webcam assembly. It's high-res, with very good detail. And the microphone generally has worked okay.
Disadvantages of the microphone:
It echo-y. I've had some problems with it recently, with people saying they can't understand me.

I wish the sound were half as good as the picture.
