Review #5368 about “Default”
Author: Karl
Microphone: Default
Rating: Good (4 out of 5)
Date:
Advantages of the microphone:
BIOS-level mute button. Integrated, so no external devices required. The sound quality on this 9-year-old machine is on-par or better than some recent laptops' integrated microphones.
Disadvantages of the microphone:
Lacks certain modern technologies such as higher bitrate and echo cancellation when conferencing software lacks this.
Author’s comment:
Very satisfied with price/quality of this machine overall, it seems very few corners were cut, and microphone quality isn't one of them.
