Advantages of the microphone:
it works better than the guitar hero one. has an on/off switch on the mic.

i don't know too much about this mic but it works by passing it through a fender bass amp via a 1/4 in plug, then out from a 1/4 to a 3.5mm laptop headphone/haedset/microphone port. i guess it's kinda neat that i could adjust the signal.
