Advantages of the microphone:
Good volume control capability, powered by USB, comfortable ear pads, apropropriately sensitive microphone. Prefer this wired headset to a bluetooth one as some bluetooth headsets have low transmit/receive volume levels.
Disadvantages of the microphone:
